Happy 75th Independence Day of Pakistan to everyone celebrating across the world and in Pakistan.
It was a great honour to host the flag raising ceremony at Oldham Council today (Sunday 14th August 2022) and recognise the contribution of British Pakistanis in the rebuilding of Britain.
British Pakistanis are the second-largest ethnic minority population in the United Kingdom. Their presence and contribution in the steel and textile industries and the NHS has been significant in the rebuilding of Britain after the Second World War (BBC).
