Winfield Literacy Awards in Oldham

Delighted to attend the Winfield Literacy Awards in Oldham, an inspiring initiative designed to encourage young writers and promote literacy across our local community.

 

Launched to address literacy challenges in the region, the competition invited young storytellers to submit a 500-word short story – igniting a love for reading and writing among children and teens. With fantastic prizes generously sponsored by Madeleine Lindley, Oldham Athletic FC and Hulme Grammar School alumni, the event celebrated creativity and talent across three age categories: 5-7, 8-13 and 14-18.
